Daniel London Bio

Hi there! My name is Daniel London. I'm a first year student in NYU's history department, coming in with a Masters in U.S. History from the CUNY Graduate Center. I'm a huge NYC buff - I lead walking tours of the city for Context Travel, I've interned at the Museum of the City of New York, and I've written several articles for Gotham-centric websites like Untapped New York and Narrative.ly. I look forward to great discussions and exhibits in this class!

I am interested in urban public space, identity formation, and inter-group relations in Progressive-Era New York City, with a particular focus on the role of New York's public school system in reflecting and shaping these dynamics.
